Summer never ends in Los Angeles

Some bloggers have grown bored with Theresa Duncan. In a post titled "Summer is Over and So Is the Fling," the Seaword admits to having lost interest in the Wit and wonders if this little blog has "given up the ghost" also.

Not here, baby! Summer is eternal in Los Angeles and we've got more stamina than you'll find in a fistful of Viagra. So hang in there, there's more good stuff coming.

im not bored. I am bored with art though. People seem to be pumping out the same stuff using the same formulas.

Its like when bands did the loud quiet loud thing to death, or the slow lush orchestral build with drums (as opposed to classical music which tends to eschew the drum kit).

No, not bored. I realize not everyone has the time to see enough art to understand what I am saying (I am an elitist) but take it from me, its true.

The truth is out there. You connect enough dots and you will see it. Then you can be jaded and say you are bored (with a French accent if you desire).

Yours in apophenic heaven,

Zip

YOu okay Zip? YOu seem confused. Weren't you just saying the other day that you're NOT an elitist?

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I just checked out what was supposed to be the hottest exhibit of the fall at LACMA (The Arts in Latin America: 14something to something--I forget) and I was bored to tears. I then walked through some of the permanent collection (which I hadn't seen in a couple of years) and I was completely unmoved. It's as if art had ceased to affect me. I just wanted to get the hell out of the place.

You posted about the McLaren thing and I hadn't realized.

Jaded. Not elitist. Unles it means I can't like seventies sci-fi.

Art about art leaves me cold.
